Category: On May 23, 2009 at about 9:50PM a witness reported seeing three bright lights near Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. The witness initially saw one bright light which then split in to three different lights in a matter of a few seconds. The lights were hovering high in the sky, circling each other and simultaneously disappearing and reappearing. The event went on for five or six minutes until the fireworks at Kings Island started and the objects disappeared for good.
UPDATE 5/25/09: We’ve had several people contact us with information that Kings Island may have had skydivers performing before the fireworks and some pictures that have been sent in seem to support the theory that this is what people may have seen. We’ll try to contact Kings Island to see if we can get more information.

I can confirm the lights in Mason. I was at a restaurant called Claddagh, where all of the customers eating outside were in awe of what they saw. I notice someone either take pictures or video of the event with their cell phone.

I saw this too. At first the lights were in a triangle pattern. Then they disappeared and reappeared in a straight line. They disappeared again and reappeared as a triangle a second time. They were moving away from me and disappeared under the tree line.

I was outside by the pool at that time as well, and I only live a few miles from Kings Island…I saw the 3 lights traveling slowly through the sky, and even managed to get a picture of it. I am usually really skeptical about stuff like that, but I got a weird feeling as I was watching them. As the witness said, they disappeared when the Kings Island fireworks started.

I was driving home with my son up 71N and saw them a little before the Mason-Montgomery exit. Me and my son were trying to figure out what it was. At first, I thought it was a meteor or something. But, then it became unexplainable by the motions. It was not fireworks. It was not normal aircraft. We watched them a good minute or so before we were not in a spot to see anymore. I have no idea. That’s why I did a quick search to see if anyone else saw it.

I live in Loveand and saw them with along with 3 other people. Saw a helicopter near them as well. They were heading in a downward motion too.

I can conferm these lights. i got on the Drop Zone at kings island. I was looking up as we went up and I seen these 4 bright lights, looked like big ass stars. then they started to move. first in a circle, then to a triangle, then to a boomerang shape and then dissapered. it just goes to say. the human race is nothing. we are so small in this universe.
