Three people spotted a craft hovering over Columbus, Ohio on April 18, 2010 at around 11:30PM. The craft was spotted near the I-71N entrance ramp on E. Hudson and was believed to be hovering at around 1000 feet. They described the craft as having one bright white light and several red lights arranged in a random configuration. The lights were not blinking and remained lit. The three witnesses observed the craft for approximately 2-3 minutes before it began moving slowly disappeared from sight. None of the witnesses could positively identify the shape of the craft.

On May 31, 2009 at about 9:40PM two witnesses driving Southeast on 1-275 towards Milford saw a glowing orange sphere about the size of a dime hovering at a fairly high altitude (which they estimated to be about 5-10,000 ft) over the interstate. The witnesses pulled over and observed the object for several minutes and during that time, the object showed no movement and no noise could be heard.

I’ve seen several similar reports of glowing orange spheres in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and people in certain areas of Cincinnati have reported seeing similar objects fairly frequently. If you’ve seen these objects in Cincinnati, or better yet, have a picture of one, please contact us or post a comment. These objects seem to appear so frequently in Cincinnati, it would be interesting to see what they are.

On May 25th, 2009 at approximately 10:30PM a witness noticed and object in the sky appearing to have one faint blue light in the center surrounded by two very bright flashing red lights. The two outside red lights would change position and sometimes be oriented horizontally and sometimes vertically. The object produced no sound what so ever and moved very slowly.  The witness mentioned that they work in aviation and this object did not look like anything they were familiar with.

On May 23, 2009 at about 7:30AM a witness reported seeing a diamond shapped UFO near Dayton, Ohio being followed by what appeared to be a twin blade helocopter. No other information was given in the report.

On May 23, 2009 at about 9:50PM a witness reported seeing three bright lights near Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. The witness initially saw one bright light which then split in to three different lights in a matter of a few seconds. The lights were hovering high in the sky, circling each other and simultaneously disappearing and reappearing. The event went on for five or six minutes until the fireworks at Kings Island started and the objects disappeared for good.

UPDATE 5/25/09: We’ve had several people contact us with information that Kings Island may have had skydivers performing before the fireworks and some pictures that have been sent in seem to support the theory that this is what people may have seen. We’ll try to contact Kings Island to see if we can get more information.

This report is interesting because it is the second report I’ve seen this week describing a UFO with lights flashing in a distinguishable pattern over Ohio.

On May 17th, 2009 a witness reported seeing a bright bronze colored light and a bright white colored light in the sky flashing in a one to three second pattern. The witness described the pattern as a 1 second flash, 2 second flash, 1 second flash, 3 second flash then the pattern would repeat. The object was initially observed at a high altitude moving in a westerly direction and then abruptly dropped to a much lower altitude while maintaining the same speed and heading. The witness said the lights then began to flash randomly while the object quickly accelerated and moved out of view.

At 2:35PM on May 15, 2009 a witness reported seeing a spherical object in Fairlawn, Ohio along I-77 near mile marker 136. The object was described as being about the size of a quarter when held and arms length and very bright. The witness said the brightness was similar to what you would expect to see from a signal mirror at some distance. The witness then lost sight of the object and and was not able to relocate it.

A UFO was reported near Columbus, Ohio on May 11 around 11:00PM. The UFO was described as a round black object with lights flashing around the outside of the craft in a counter clockwise motion and one additional flashing white light on each side. The witnesses who observed the object believed it to be at about 1500 feet.

On May 12, 2009 at about 1:00AM an amateur astronomer saw two UFOs on their drive home along US 52 near Portsmouth, Ohio. The witness reported that they initially saw one large UFO that was flying slowly at a very low altitude and would occasionally stop and hover in one spot. The witness noticed flashing lights on the bottom of the craft that seemed to behave erratically while the craft was in motion and then seemed to have a distinguishable pattern while the craft was hovering. After observing the first craft for approximately 4 minutes, the witness saw a second UFO that appeared to be exactly the same size and shape as the first and exhibited the same pattern of flashing lights. The second craft stopped and hovered once then changed direction and traveled with the first craft. After spotting the second craft, the witness was able to follow both UFOs for approximately 2 minutes until they both disappeared over a ridge.
